Physics Education, B.S.

This course is expected to be approved  for 2021.

Physics Education has been listed as a Teacher Shortage Area in Indiana in every year since 2004, and particularly in years 2018 to present.  We have a great need for excellent Physics (and other science) teachers in our state!

Students selecting the Science Education – Physics Major will be prepared according the Indiana Content Standards for Educators in Science-Physics to take the Praxis Physics (5265) exam required by the state (beginning in 2021) for educator licensure.  With some additional coursework in electives, students would also be well prepared for the content licensure exams in Mathematics, Chemistry and/or Physical Science. See your content area advisor for details!
