ELED 442 Literacy Assessment and Intervention Practicum

This field-based course provides the candidate with 30 hours of practical experience.  Candidates will work with a student in their field placement to assess, plan, and implement targeted, data-based intervention.  Emphasis is placed on research-based instructional strategies appropriate for use in effective intervention design and implementation. This course is taken concurrently with ELED 441 Literacy Assessment and Intervention.  Teacher candidates are required to pass this course with a minimum of a B- or higher.  Teacher candidates must successfully complete ELED441 to pass this course.
