ADC 301 Principles of Addiction
This course provides an overview of the biological, psychological, social and spiritual dimensions of substance abuse and dependency. Addictive behaviors are presented as part of a continuum of mental and emotional disorders. Models and theories of addictive behavior that the human service professional needs to understand when treating clients with addictive and co- occurring disorders are reviewed.
