MATH 282 Mathematics for Teachers II
This course builds on the foundation content in MATH 281. Topics covered include algebraic thinking, geometry, geometry of motion and change, measurement, area, and volume, as well as data analysis and probability. Emphasis will be placed on development of conceptual understanding, analysis of errors, and creation of a learning community characterized by a growth mindset, critical thinking and collaborative problem-solving. Appropriate technological application will be integrated in the course. This course along with MATH 281 is intended to prepare students to pass the math portion of current educator licensure exams.
