MATH 341 Abstract Algebra

An introductory course in the theory of groups, rings, and fields. Topics include: groups, subgroups, permutation groups, factor groups, homomorphisms and isomorphisms; rings, integral domains, and ideals; fields and their extensions; and applications to number theory, solving polynomial equations and geometry.
