Interdisciplinary Studies, B.A.
The Interdisciplinary Studies program is designed to provide the student with a flexible curriculum to pursue professional advancement and personal enrichment. Students can individualize their education in order to achieve a balance between developing their known interest and exploring new subject areas. The program allows for three different concentration areas. Concentration areas are comprised of courses with the same prefix code. The foundation of the program is a liberal arts general education curriculum which consists of communications skills, humanities, diversity and global awareness, social science, natural science and math, religion and philosophy, and wellness. Courses are offered in an accelerated format both online through our distant learning program and on campus during convenient evening hours.

*All courses applied to a concentration area must have the same course prefix. A different course prefix is required for each concentration area and may not be the same courses used to fulfill a general education requirement. At least 12 credit hours of the Interdisciplinary Studies major must be 300 and/or 400 level courses. Courses from another academic institution may be transferred into the concentration areas, but a minimum of 25% must be completed at Bethel University, and at least 18 semester hours must be taken at Bethel University and applied to the concentration areas for the bachelor degree.
