EDLT 655 Advanced Phonics and Linguistics

This course focuses on supporting a deep understanding of English orthography. Topics include the relationships between phonetics, phonology, orthography, morphology, syntax, semantics, and how each is taught in an integrated way to support teaching reading and writing. Emphasis will be placed on the role of dialect and language variation.
