ASL 101 ASL I

Introduces ASL and the Deaf Community; focuses on frequently used signs through a functional- notional approach and discusses cultural fea- tures of the Deaf Community. Out-of- class visits to d/Deaf community events are required. Two-hour lab required weekly. Lab: ASL 101L.
