PHIL 110 Christian Worldview
This seminar will examine the history, nature, and intellectual impact of worldviews, beginning with the German Enlightenment notion of a Weltanschauung on through more recent and varied attempts to articulate explicitly Christian worldviews. Students will reflect on how particular worldviews inform approaches to specif- ic academic disciplines. How should Christians address the potential ten- sions between Christ and culture identi- fied by H. Richard Niebuhr? How do worldviews influence professional, prac- tical, and personal concerns as well as academic ones? May be repeated for credit up to 4 hours.
