NS 220 Stress and Health

The study of stress and health will serve as a way to introduce non-science majors to the human biology.  Introductions to the major body systems will highlight the normal structures and functions of the human body. The course will include how different types of stress, including acute physiological crisis, chronic physical challenges, and psychological and social disruptions can impact each body system. A special focus will be on personal lifestyle changes that will enhance the students coping with their individual stressors.
