EDUC 691 Supervised Residency/Internship and Seminar: ENL
Supervised residency/internship that applies coursework to instruction of English Learners. A minimum of 150 hours will be required for licensed teachers. Non-licensed candidates may need to complete additional hours based upon experience. Weekly seminar meetings will be topically related according to needs of candidates. The objective of the residency/internship and seminar is to provide a rich and multi-faceted supervised teaching experience that will enable the candidate to become an effective ENL teacher in accordance with guidelines and code established by the IDOE. Candidates will present a professional portfolio at program conclusion to demonstrate competence to state certification.
